My Favorite Restaurants in Chandler AZ | Dan Kaercher's Local Guide 2026
I get asked all the time where to eat in Chandler and honestly I love this question because this city has quietly become one of the best food cities in the entire Phoenix East Valley. I have lived and worked in Chandler for years and I eat out a lot so when I recommend a restaurant it is because I have actually been there, probably more than once, and genuinely think you should go. This is not a list pulled from Yelp or Google. These are my personal favorites, the places I take clients, friends, and out of town visitors when I want to show them what Chandler is really about. From hidden gem pizza counters to one of the best craft cocktail and seafood experiences in the entire Valley, here is my honest guide to the best restaurants in Chandler AZ in 2026.
Yo Pauly's Pizza | The Hidden Gem Slice Joint Chandler Needs to Know About
If you have never heard of Yo Pauly's Pizza that is kind of the point. This is Chandler's best kept secret and I love it for exactly that reason. It is counter service, unpretentious, and when you just need a solid slice of pizza without any fuss this is the place. The pizza is genuinely good in that no nonsense way that great pizza always is and the fact that most people do not know about it yet makes it even better. If you live in Chandler and you have not been here yet go fix that.
San Tan Brewery | Best Bar Food in Chandler and a Cold Pint to Go With It
San Tan Brewery is one of those Chandler institutions that never gets old no matter how many times you go. This is the original Chandler location and it earns that status every single time. I go for the cheesy chicken rolls, the house made chicken fingers, and the southwest fried chicken and I have never once left disappointed. The beer is great, the atmosphere is relaxed and fun, and it is one of those places where you can show up solo, with a group, or with clients and it always works. If you have not tried the cheesy chicken rolls yet that needs to change immediately.
Murphy's Law | Chandler's Best Dive Bar and the Fosty Shot You Need to Try
Murphy's Law is exactly what a great dive bar should be. Live music, sports on the TVs, a casual crowd, and zero pretension. But here is the thing that makes Murphy's Law genuinely special and worth telling everyone you know about. They have an ice cream shot called the Fosty shot and it tastes exactly like a Wendy's Frosty. I am not exaggerating. It is one of those things that sounds gimmicky until you try it and then you immediately order another one. Great bar, great vibe, and one of the most fun surprises in all of Chandler.
Shimogamo | The Best Date Night Restaurant in Chandler AZ
If I had to pick one restaurant in Chandler to take someone I really wanted to impress, it would be Shimogamo every single time without hesitation. The seafood is incredibly fresh and the food alone would make this place special but what truly sets Shimogamo apart is the bar program. The staff have gone to extraordinary lengths to create one of the best craft cocktail menus in the entire Phoenix Valley and I say that having been to a lot of great cocktail bars across the metro. My personal favorite is the Nishiki Market Light, an old fashioned made with A5 wagyu fat washed Japanese whisky and house lemon bitters. It is the kind of drink that makes you stop mid sip and think about what you are tasting. And the truffle amberjack is so good that my wife and I regularly order two of them. That is not a typo. Two orders of the truffle amberjack because one is simply not enough. If you have a special occasion coming up or you just want a genuinely exceptional night out in Chandler, Shimogamo is the answer.
Mexico Magico | The Best Tacos in Chandler and It Is Not Even Close
I feel strongly about this one. Mexico Magico has the best fish taco in Chandler and I would put it up against anything in the entire Valley. The carne asada is exactly what it should be and consistently delivers. But the dish that really gets me every time is the shrimp gobernador. The combination of creamy cheese, the natural sweetness from the shrimp, and just enough heat from the salsa is one of those flavor combinations that is so perfectly balanced it is hard to explain until you taste it. This is a sit down casual spot with genuine soul and the kind of food that makes you want to come back the following week. Best tacos in Chandler. Full stop.
George and Gather | Big City Vibes in the Heart of Downtown Chandler
George and Gather is one of the newer spots in Old Town Chandler and it has quickly become one of my favorites for lunch or dinner when I want something a little more elevated without being overly formal. The burger is genuinely excellent and the whole restaurant has this cool trendy energy that feels more like something you would find in a major city than a suburban Arizona neighborhood. If you have out of town visitors and you want to show them that Chandler has a real food scene, take them to George and Gather. It delivers every time.
The Sicilian Butcher | The Most Fun Group Dinner in Chandler
The Sicilian Butcher at 3151 W Frye Road is one of those restaurants that is genuinely hard to describe without sounding like you are overselling it. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is energetic and fun, and it is the kind of place where a group dinner turns into a genuinely memorable night. I love the Sicilian in Strada board which is perfect for sharing and sampling a bunch of different flavors at once. But the real showstopper is the meatball ferris wheel. Yes you read that correctly. A ferris wheel of meatballs that lets you try multiple varieties and every single one of them is great. And when you think the night is over, walk next door for fresh cannolis. Still the same restaurant, still the same incredible quality, and the perfect way to end a night at The Sicilian Butcher. If you have a group dinner coming up this is your spot.
Oregano's | The Tried and True Chandler Classic
Oregano's has been a Chandler staple for years and it earns its place on this list every single time. It is not trendy and it does not try to be and that is exactly why I love it. The fried raviolis are some of the best bar bites in Chandler, the boom dip is addictive in the best possible way, and the thin crust pizza is genuinely one of my favorites anywhere in the Valley. I especially love taking out of town visitors here because it has that fun city restaurant energy that surprises people who assume Arizona is all chains and strip malls. Oregano's is the kind of place that reminds you why certain restaurants stick around for decades. Because the food is just that good.
Bonus | Dan's Chandler Restaurant Quick Hits
A few more spots worth knowing about in Chandler. If you want the best cannolis in the East Valley The Sicilian Butcher next door situation at Frye Road is unbeatable. If you need a quick and satisfying pizza slice with zero fuss Yo Pauly's is always the answer. And if you want to end a night in Downtown Chandler with something completely unexpected and genuinely delicious, order a Fosty shot at Murphy's Law and thank me later.
